I'm Cindy Martin.
I'm a wife, a dog-lover, a self-proclaimed dork, a collector of everything vintage, a pretty good cook, and a self-taught photographer.
In Spring of 2009, I didn't know why I was in school for my Master's Degree in English or what I wanted to do with my life. That May, I bought my first DSLR camera, a Canon Rebel Xsi, and figured the latter part out.
I created Better Than Fiction Photography in August 2009.
I live and work in Western North Carolina. I prefer shooting outdoors in natural light for most everything except those things that just work better in the privacy of the studio--like boudoir. I do my best to capture real personality, real emotion, and real people. Chances are I'll make a fool of myself to get you to loosen up and laugh during your shoot, so be prepared. I love making people happy.
I do this to show you how I see the world. I do it to make you feel beautiful. I do it for your grandchildren. Come stand in front of my camera. :)
